The longing of both of our hearts is to see people encounter JESUS, spiritually, practically and supernaturally. We long for REVIVAL to sweep the earth in an unprecedented way!
As of late, we’ve both been launched into passions that have been lying dormant since our childhood. We feel that what we’ve experienced and learned over the years was a preparation for the most exciting part of our ministry – that which is yet to come!
Richard: I have always had the gift of compassion and a dream to work in the medical field:
In 2008, I joined the YWAM-ministry Rescue Net which brings first-response disaster relief into areas hit by tsunamis, earthquakes etc. Passionate about this ministry I completed training as an “Emergency Medical Technician” in 2011. I have been working full-time for our local ambulance service since late 2014 and am also studying Paramedicine part-time in order to be better equipped to help those who are hurting. This makes for a very full life and I've had to put the development of “RescueNet” in New Zealand on the back burner for now. After I finish my studies I am hoping to again get more involved in "Rescue Net" and mobilise many to get trained in this field in order to be Jesus’ hands and feet to the desperately hurting, as well as going myself into disaster-areas.
Isabel: Besides home-schooling the 2 youngest of our five children, I received a “green light” from the Lord in 2009 to finally pursue my passion and childhood dream to help orphans. Since my first, exploratory trip to Uganda in November 2010, I am enthusiastically investing my time and energy to come alongside wonderful existing orphan ministries to raise awareness, prayer and financial support for them. I feel that I am living my dream and am incredibly grateful that God is allowing me to participate in making a difference for orphaned and vulnerable children!
